Members are given borrowing privileges to Association equipment. This is an excellent way to learn about telescopes without spending a lot of money purchasing your own. Sufficient training will be provided for the novice if requested. To cover maintenance and purchase new accessories, a small rental fee of $10 is levied every two weeks you have the telescope in your possession, and you must sign a rental agreement. The following equipment is available:
203 mm (8") Reflector Dobsonian mount. Scope comes complete with Telrad, 6x30 mm finderscope, eyepieces.
150 mm (6") Reflector on a DRAA built Dobsonian mount. Scope comes complete with Telrad, 6x30 mm finderscope, eyepiece and 2x barlow lens. A Kendrick Solar filter is also available (for experienced users only).

114 mm (4.5") Reflector on an Equatorial mount (with motor drive). Includes a finder scope, eyepiece and barlow.
Walter Huron Observatory 254 mm (10") Meade LX5 Schmidt-Cassegrain. No fee for use but requires you to be a Qualified Observatory Operator (QOO). Refer to the QOO documentation (members sign in to view). After you become a QOO, you can reserve the observatory using the forum.
