Posted by: Arnold Brody Category: Astronomy in the Park Contact: stargazing@drastronomy.com
When: Sunday 14 September 2014 at 12:00 am Ends: Sunday 14 September 2014 at 02:00 am
Location: Thickson Woods Nature Reserve, near the bottom of Thickson Road, Whitby
Everyone is invited to enjoy views of deep sky star clusters, nebulae, double stars, and maybe catch a view of Mars and Saturn through the telescopes of The Durham Region Astronomical Association, at the Thickson Woods Nature Reserve. The stargazing is open to the public, and free of charge!
If you have a telescope but are unsure on how to set it up or use it, bring it along and we will be happy to help you.
Of course, this event is weather dependent, so before heading out to join us, please check back here to see if poor conditions have forced us to cancel.
Thickson's Woods Nature Reserve is near the bottom of Thickson Rd, where the Waterfront Trail crosses the road.
