The Durham Region Astronomical Association will be participating in Whitby Central Library's "How To In 10" Festival in which people can learn a new skill in about 10 minutes. At our booth, we will help you assemble your own planisphere and teach you how to use it to identify which constellations and stars are visible on any given date and time. You can then bring your new planisphere to our outdoor stargazing event, open to the public and free of charge that same evening at Iroquois Park Sports Centre! (See separate listings for Astronomy Day on May 10.)
The Whitby Central Library is on the south side of Dundas St at Henry St.
