Come celebrate International Astronomy Day with your local astronomical association at Iroquois Park Sports Centre on Saturday, May 10. From 10 AM to 3 PM, we will have our information booth inside the front lobby of Iroquois Park with all things astronomical on display. If the sky is clear, we plan on having solar-filtered telescopes, outside the main entrance, aimed at the Sun, providing great views of sun spots and solar flares.
Do you have a telescope but are not sure how to set it up and use it? Please bring it with you to Astronomy Day and we will be happy to give you some instruction.
Iroquois Park is on the north side of Victoria Street, just west of the Whitby GO Station.
