The Association will be in attendance at Durham Skies First Anniversary Celebration. We will have a few of our outreach posters and information hand-outs on site to showcase the Association, recruit new members and build awareness about light pollution.

A Dream Comet(?) Presented by Michael Cook
Comet C/2012 S1 has the potential to become a very bright object that will be well placed for observation from the northern hemisphere in late 2013. The presentation will cover the Comet's discovery, similarities with previous "Great Comets" and sighting opportunities.
Astronomy Gear Presented by Gary Wilkins
Gary Wilkins, proprietor of Durham Skies, will show some of the new astronomy gear in the market, just in time for the holiday season.
What's Up in the Night Sky Presented by Jeff Dutton
This month's What's Up takes us on a tour of celestial objects well placed for viewing between the November and December meetings.
