Transits of Venus by Arnold Brody Arnold delves into the history of previous transits, when sea-faring nations -- in an effort to discern the true size of the solar system -- sent astronomers to the far corners of Earth to obtain transit timings.
"What's Up in the Night Sky" by Jeff Dutton This month's "What's Up" takes us on a tour of celestial objects well positioned for viewing from mid-May through Mid-June.
Public Outreach Activities by Warren Gallagher Warren gives a recap of Astronomy Day, and annouces upcoming events such as Science Rendezvous at UOIT and preparations for the Transit of Venus Community Celebration.
The Whitby Central Library is on the south side of Dundas St at Henry St.
