Come and have Safe Solar viewing of Sun Spots and Flares and learn about The Durham Region Astronomical Association through various handouts. If you have a telescope at home and you need instruction on how to set it up and use it bring it along to a telescope clinic.

Come and see views of Jupiter and its attending Moons towards the end of the event time and other celestial objects such as Globular cluster of up to a million stars packed into a tight ball shape. A ring of debris of a star that has blown off its outer shell and a glimpse of our neighboring galaxy "Andromeda".

The Durham Region Astronomical Association will be taking part in the Clarington Sports and Leisure Fair where we will have displays and handouts of all things Astronomical as well as information concerning our group. If you have a telescope at home and are not confident in its operation, bring it along for some guidance on its use. If the weather cooperates we will have telescopes outside for looking at various objects once the skies have darken sufficientely.
