Location: 312 Townline Road Ashburn
We will help celebrate WindReach Farm (www.windreachfarm.org) 20th anniversary of enriching the lives of people with disabilities through experiences in Astronomy by providing Safe Solar viewing of Sun Spots and Solar Flares (weather and the Sun permitting). By attaching a camera to a telescope and projecting that view onto a large screen, everyone can share the view of looking through a telescope. In case of inclement weather DVDs of all things Astronomical will be shown with handouts on various topics such as phases of the Moon and light pollution abatement.
The is a fee of $20 per carload for non members of The Durham Region Astronomical Association.
Members assisting with this event are asked to arrive between 07:30 and 08:00 with set up on the Southwest corner of the Visitor Centre.
