The Bigger They Are: How Massive Star Formation affects the Galaxy
Presented by Mubdi Rahman, University of Toronto Department of Astronomy.
The formation and lives of massive stars are inherently violent; from the casting off of their parent clouds, to the wind they produce throughout their life, all the way to the supernova of their death, massive stars affect the galaxy around them. In this talk, I'll go over some of our latest and exciting results on massive star formation in our Galaxy, and go over what affects it is causing to the environment around.
