Through the Eyes of an Astronomer
Presented by: Dr. Ian Shelton, Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics, University of Toronto.
Humanity has grown up intrigued and inspired by the nighttime sky. During the 400 years since the invention of the telescope, steady advances in our technology have greatly refined and broadened our understanding of what it is that we are seeing when we look up. Join Dr. Shelton on a journey of discovery to see the universe through an astronomer's eyes.
Display and Viewing Through Telescopes
Members of the DRAA will also have a display set up in the Atrium and telescopes set up in the parking lot for the public to view the Moon, Mars, Saturn, and other celestial wonders.
